Taiwan-based camera lens marker Largan has announced a plan to spend NT$2.0 billion (US$63 million; US$1=NT$32.0) on equipment for the NT$20 billion (US$630 million) new plant, which is slated to begin operation in the first half of 2017, reported Economic Daily News on October 14. As a major supplier of Apple iPhone 6s camera lens, Largan's revenue in September has enjoyed a 4% increase month over month, reaching a new high of NT$5.5 billion (US$171.9 million) in this year.
